The dreaded vacation!!!!

MikeCan Posts: 91 Joined: 2003/12/04	2003/12/29, 02:51 PM I'm writing this message from my in-laws computer. I came back home to Long Island, NY to visit family for the holidays. I will be taking about 9 full days off from the gym. Now I know my body could use this added rest but the diet is killing me. I am trying to do my best and stay away from the garbage food as much as possible but I have to tell you I am not doing a good job. I am almost affraid to get back to the gym on the 3rd and weigh in. I am sure I am going to have to work extra hard to rid myself of this added unnecessary weight. Also, because I am off of my normal diet I feel like crap. My energy levels are really low. I'll tell you it's nice to visit family but it's going to come with some drawbacks. Just thought I would vent a bit. Good luck to anyone else who may be in the same boat! -------------- Mike
gawdess Posts: 35 Joined: 2003/12/23	2003/12/29, 03:42 PM I've been there myself!! I swayed from my diet over Xmas and man did I pay for it. Huge energy deficits and a weight gain of 3 pounds. I couldnt even get off the couch the day after Xmas. I recommitted myself to my plan 2 days ago and am doing great! I hope you are in good spirits again soon!

MikeCan Posts: 91 Joined: 2003/12/04	2003/12/30, 09:10 AM Jdelts- I grew up in Island Park (small town between Oceanside & Long Beach). I moved about 4 years ago to Virginia. I would love to lift but we are making our way to NJ tomorrow morning to visit more family for New Years. The next time I'm back in town I'll post and let you know. I noticed your a Met fan from your photo. Sorry to hear that(lol!)-- I'm a huge Yankee fan. Going to be an interesting year for both with the offseason moves.
