Hi all. I always hear ppl say they're in bulking phase, but what other phases are there? And what do you do during those phases?

Cutting phase is when you are trying to reduce your bodyfat and keep your muscle. A gaining phase is when you are trying to gain muscle mass, but not too much fat. That may or may not be the same as bulking.

Bulking is generaly the off-season, where you can up your food intake a little and put on some mass. There is also the cutting phase, where you are stripping fat, while trying to hold onto your mass.
The differences are in diet and how much cardio you do, also the way you weight train may vary, depending on energy levels and what kind of detail work you need to do.
Everyone has different ways of doing their cycles, so i can't realy say exactly what it entails, but that is the basic difference.

How often should I switch between the phases then?
