Hi all,
I wanted to share the good news with the bad news. I started out walking on Sunday and made the mile mark. Well today is Wed and Im walking 3miles and still 18 min per mile. That is a great accomplishment for me. The bad news is I started my exercises that they set me on but unfortunately I was not able to get the amount done for example they said do 4 sets of 15 pushups but I could only do 4 sets of 8 so im trying a little harder and my goal for the week of training is to get everything accomplished by the end of the week. I am very sore in my arms but nothing to really complain about. I would like to thank everyone for your support. I look at the posts that I have made and the encouragement everyone has given me pushes me to try to get 1 more pushup in then I think I can do. I will get to my goal this week and if not im not going to punish myself for not reaching it because I look at it like this im doing more this week starting then I did lastweek when I wasnt doing anything. Again thanks for your support. And if Im posting this on the wrong page please let me know.
Thanks again everyone
Your new friend in training
Steph

Great job! As for the 4 sets of 15 for push ups and all you got was 8 reps per set? Not bad at all. next week when you do them push for 9-10 reps. Then next hit 11 and so on till you reach 15....it is not easy this task of ours to lift and get fit. It takes alot of willpower(at elast for me) to turn that piece of birthday cake at the office down and go eat my tuna. But we do it. Just do not beat yourself up too much if you do not reach all the levels you wanted to this week. Go slow and easy for about a month and then hit it hard! Good luck!

CONGRATULATIONS on another milestone! 3 miles and your pace-impressive. As Mutt said go slow and focus on what you have accomplished as opposed to what you haven't accomplished. Sometimes our greatest achievements and victories are small ones. Example-an extra rep, another 1/2 mile, 1 more pound, etc. We all have days which may not seem as productive as others but that's only how it seems. You are getting in better shape every day. You have a great attitude and outlook. Keep pressing onward and upward and keep us posted on your progress.

You're doing better than I ever have. If they tell me I have to do push ups I'm in trouble. I've never been able to do one in my life. LOL Guess I have some weak arms huh? hehe

Way to go. Keep up the good work. Mutt and the others have said most of what anyone can say. Focus on the accomplishments,as they are the motivator. Always strive for that one extra. Nice to see the positive outcomes of those who are trying hard. It is indeed not easy to be on the path of good health and fitness, but damn the outcomes are great.
