Hi all. I haven't been here much because I can't train much right now and it's hard to be here. I've been having physio for the past month on my wrist flexor, including acupuncture, with very minimal results. The physio let me curl a 5 lb dumbbell last session (oh happy day), but my wrist gave out after 5 reps. I'm losing muscle mass noticibly now, which is so depressing. I've gone from the best shape of my life to not being able to do much of anything. I'm sorry to whine, but it helps to share my frustration with people who understand. Hopefully I start seeing some major improvements soon. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

hey effalunt! Miss your posts!
Don't despair, you will at least have somemuscle memory to speed you back to your previous shape. And just think of all of the deep intramuscular healing that can occur while you rehab - you will come back fresher and stronger.
The latest issue of Oxygen Magazine has an article about holding onto mass while laid up - if you want I will copy it in for you, otherwise, pick up an issue, maybe it will help keep you looking forward.
This too shall pass - think of it that way.
Many competitors come back stronger and better after an injury from learning a lesson about their training and from the extra recuperation and new found determination to get back on the horse and ride.
Okay, it is staring to sound a little corny, I better stop. I need some sleep.
Hope your progress keeps up!
