Okay, Xenadrine has a diet bar, now can someone please explain what is good in it, that can benefit a person that is on a diet, and why so much fat and carbs in it, if its a diet bar? i know bb1fit shouldhave a pretty good response since he knows this crap

** Percent Daily Value is based on a 2000 calorie diet. Your daily values may be higher or lower depending on your calorie needs.
† Daily Value not established.

ingredients:
Xenadrine Protein Blend (Soy Protein Isolate, Casein, Whey Protein Isolate, Hydrolyzed Gelatin, Milk Protein Concentrate), Glycerin, Polydextrose, Water, Palm Kernel Oil, Maltitol, Conjugated Linoleic Acid, Natural Flavors, Cocoa Powder Processed with Alkali, Milk Mineral Concentrate, lecithin, Dextrose, Salt, Ascorbic Acid, Mono and Diglycerides, Copper Gluconate, Ferric Orthophosphate, Dl-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate, Magnesium Oxide, maltodextrin, Biotin, Niacinamide, Zinc Oxide, Beta Carotene, Mixed Tocopherols, Calcium Pantothenate, retinyl palmitate, Phytonadione, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, manganese Sulphate, Riboflavin, Thiamin Mononitrate, Potassium Iodide, Cyanocobalamin, Chromium Chloride, Folic Acid, Sodium Molybdate, Sodium Selenate. These bars has a Net Carb Count of 2 g (sugar/starch). Only these 2 grams should be counted toward your daily carbohydrate intake. The remaining 19 non impact carbs come from glycerin, maltitol, polydextrose and other fibers, which have a negligible impact on blood sugar levels

This is not an example of a great bar, but if you look at the carbs, not many come from sugar. They can label the other carbs as non-impacting because they come from sugar alcohol(listed as glycerin), which is not supposed to affect your insulin levels.(but I have heard it dehydrates your stomach)
The protein blend is decent, except for the hydrolyzed gelatin, but the casein and soy and whey each have their own merits.
If I was on a desert island and it was this bar or a big mac.. I gues I might choose the bar. But that is what they make these for, emergencies. I find if I have a bar in my car or purse and the unexpected time comes up where I am starving and not near one of my pre-made meals (the horror!) that a bar keeps me from going completely off my diet. I don't, however use the xenadrine bras, so I can't vouch for them.
i am sure bbfit will have a good breakdown of all the ingredients.
Fat is not the foe to dieters that people think it is. You need fats in your diet, granted it would be better if they didn't come as saturated fat, but some fat is necessary.
Most of the ongredients at the end of the list are vitamins.
Anyhow, that is my 2 cents worth. I guess i could go online and search all of the ingredients and give you a more 'expert' opinion....
