hey yall I'm 17 years old , and within 2 months football season will be over, i may wrestle or just continue to weight lift and do speed and a bunch of other stuff, i was wondering what all of you thought was the safest age and body development to begin using creatine. I dont want to mess anything up now or later, or if i should take it all, If it helps get stronger faster. Right now i take MEGA WHEY FROM GNC it contains 40 grams of protein , 5 grams of L Glutamine and 3 grams of BCAA every time i take it. thanks

Personaaly if I were you I would just stick to the protien, your body is still growing & shouldn't even need the added support of creatine. Just my opinion.

Stay away from creatine. It is a crutch. Eat and train hard and smart. Protein supplementation is good. There are a lot of mixed opinions on creatine. Some research indicates that it only helps people that have a nutritional deficiency. Besides, your body makes a certain amount for a reason. Just lift, eat, sleep, and enjoy working out. I have made my best gains by just having fun when I train.

if u want to be healthy maybe u shouldn't take speed. if ur not talking about the drug then my bad cuz i haven't heard of any other kind of speed. and also do all football vets wrestle after? lol cuz our season is almost done and i was gonna join the wrestling team with a bunch of other football players as well lol

i started taking it my jr year in high school, i don't think it stunted my growth cause i'm about 6'1" which is about right for me geneticlly, yes i do agree that it has mixed feelings toward it, but so do other supplements peopel take too but its up to you try it if it don't work it don't work, just make sure if u do take it drink at least a galoon of water and take about 5 gs a day

Aside from buying them at GNC, that supplementation plan sounds good for your age. The creatine we get from food is barely worth mentioning.

Shane, where do you get your supplements? Mega Whey is the best tasting stuff I've ever had; it is by GNC, right? Where else could one get it cheaper?

Online. I've shopped at a few stores, including Netrition, Vitaglo, and Affordable Supplements. Supplements is one of three product categories I never pay list for.

GNC brand will still be too expensive online, but there are better alternatives.

Those are good sites, but you could always resort to a search engine like google. When ordering from the internet, don't bother with dot-com's like GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, Met-rx, or any of those brandname-online sites, they'll over-charge you.

Dealtime would probably be better than Google. Google's unlikely to return results with cost efficiency in mind.
