I fear, with the extended layoff I have had, out of the gym, being sick and having minor surgery last week, that I am losing a lot of muscle. I am trying to eat clean and keep the protein up, and as soon as the stiches heal I will be back lifting what I can in my basement. While I have been sidelined I have done a lot of thinking. I have a goal of losing 15%bf. I know that I need to do cardio, and I have been reading up on HIIT and have decided to go that way. SO that said even tho I really want to powerlift, I am going to startover. I will retool my workouts, and give total prioity to HIIT. Second will be the food I eat and thridly, for now, will be weights. After I can get back to a gym I will retool that plan. Any comments or advice is welcomed.

Hey Mutt,
keep your head up. Why not make the main focus a healthier lifestyle, the rest will follow.
HIIT is great, but don't make it the only kind of cardio you do.
Food is really the number one priority, you will get better results eating clean and not working out than working out and not eating clean, though a combination of the two is the best way to go.
Maybe the extra rest for your muscles will create a huge change, you never know. You don't decondition as fast as you think.
You can do this!

Oh I am not giving up just rearrangeing the pirorities in my life. I have limited weights and space so i will try a feww weeks of cardio, HIIT mainly but will throw in walking and reg jogging. As for diet except for the odd poptart now and a gain i eat pretty clean most of the time
