As said before, I just got myself back into the gym, first thing I did was weigh myself, I thought I would have gained weight, due to not working out and eating crappy plus a noticable amount of fat gain, I use to be 167lbs give or take, now I'm 160! Could that seriously all be muscle lost? If you think about it, it would actually be more like 10lbs of muscle lost, due to putting on fat. I didn't think I was that big before, and have not really noticed loosing that much muscle.

Without knowing how long you've been out and how much muscle you had built before it's hard to say. A trainer once told me that you can lose weight when on a break simply because you have increased you're resting metabolism. It is probably a little of both for you.

By not keeping a good diet and going under maintenance calories, you could very well have lost muscle. See, even though you are still "feeding" your body, junk stuff is very short lived energy source(fuel) for your body, and so your body will revert to whatever source it can for the needed amino acids, which, you guessed it, will come from lean tissue stores. Muscle needs protein, a decent diet to sustain it. If not, it will be used in ways you don't want it to be for needed fuel. Muscle weighs more than fat. A drastic calorie change will result in a large decrease in lean tissue.
