Put the alarm clock across the room. Get four and put them all in different places that you have to get out of bed to turn off and set them for five minute intervals. Unfortunately, this is something where you are just going to have to make up your mind that you will not go back to sleep. It's a matter of will power.

Sort out your sleep pattern. I only ever set an alarm clock as a back up when I’ve got a plane or a train to catch and hardly ever need it then. I go to be bed early so I can get up without been forced or an alarm breaking my sleep cycle because I know these have a detrimental effect on how I feel.

If you plan to go to bed about the same time every night about 8h (varies slightly for each person) before you need to get up you body clock adjusts. Loads of people I know stay up an extra hour or two all week, then need to catch up sleep so are tired by the end of the week. And end up missing most of their weekend when they could be doing what they want.

Personally I go to bed at 9:30-10:00pm and get up at 5:00-5:30am if I need an extra ½ hour in bed I can take it. Look at what time you need (or want) to be up for and adjust your sleep pattern accordingly.

sleep!! we dont need as much sleep as we have,,we only sleep so much becasue of habit. you need to start getting into a habit of waking up early. the first few days will be hard but your body will adjust and you will start to go to bed earlier and wake up earlier! i aggree with gwindalyn its a matter of will power! u need to find something that will motivate you to get up earlier! if you are training hard enough you should be able to sleep quite easy,,remember someone traing needs an average of about 8 hours sleep a night. good luck

I just slept almost 9 1/2 hours last night....... It's waay too long but I was so tired (I've been out travelling).
Normally I'll sleep 7-8 hours.
Why not drink a big glass of water (or take a cold shower) to be able to wake up?

It's true. If you need an alarm clock, you're not getting enough sleep.

If your body can't repair itself, you're being counterproductive to your workout. Get some sleep.
