i was just wondering,,when u have just finshed your workout wether it is better to have a liquid meal ,,say like a protien shake,,or is it better to have a whole meal like a chicken breast?? this is to help gain muscle mass!!!
For gaining mass, a "liquid meal" is better, may be the only time. It is shown very conclusively that the shake is digested and assimilated much faster than any whole food, and this is an optimal time for speed. Whey protein is digested very quickly.
