I have been working out at a gym and now I'm going to try one of your exercise programs.
My question has to do with the weights. As I decrease the number of reps with each set, should I also be trying to increase the weights I use with each set? If so, by how much?
This number is different for each of us. Generaly if you can easily get 10 reps you should add weight. How much is a good question. i usualy add 10lbs a side for most exercises. Sometimes i add 5 a side till I can just get 8 reps then try to get 10. It adds up quickly for some exercises and much slower on others. I would say as a n example if you bench press 100 for 10 reps easily next time do this set1 85x10, set2 95x10 set3 105x10, now on this last set you should fell tired at 7 reps try for 10 use a spotter if you need to. If you get that try to move up. The 10 reps per set rule is not set in stone. Try different things and see what works best. As you can see there is no one "right" way. Just remember to always try to move forward, use perfect form and do nt let the ego get in the way. Hope this helps
-------------- If you can still itch your nose after arm day, go do another set wussie!!!!
