Hi! I have been actively exercising for around 3 years, meaning cardio and weight training 3-4 times a week. I am going on a three-week vacation soon, and am wondering if I should just not do any exercise during this time to give my body a chance to regenerate, or would that be a bad idea?

From all that I have heard a vacation is a good thing, especially if you haven't had one in a while. For some it has turned out to be a good thing.

Personally I wouldn't be able to stop for more than three days...........
You can always run, swim, walk or do some small exercises as crunches and push ups.
Your vaction will still be a rest for your body since you'll be exercising a lot less. Have fun!!

I agree with Philia2. Don't stop all exercise for three weeks, but the rest and change in routine (to something less intense,) will probably do you good.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I wan not planning on sitting all day or anything, but I just won't have a chance to go to a gym so I thought maybe I'll just stick to push-ups, crunches, and some light cardio. I hope I won't get too lazy!! ;) Thanks!!
