I don't know the technical name so I'll do my best to describe it. Its done during weightlifting but instead of doing rep after rep you just do one long rep and hold it. It supposedly works the muscle better. Can anyone provide me with any info about this? Thanks in advance!
umm, isometrics? I have never heard of that. Why would doing one long rep work your muscle better than recruiting more fibers each rep as the muscle fatigues during a set?
Are you talking about super-slow training? It has pretty much been debunked, but if it works for you....
I believe that's called "static." A good example is a static front barbell raise, where you hold a weighted barbell in front of you until failure. You can also do static bench presses (need a spotter) and lat raises.
