Hello:
I posted here a couple of times and everyone has been very helpful. I now completed my 8 week program. I wanted to lose some weight and I chose fat loss program. However, the reps are a little too much. and on the message board everyone recommends lower reps... for my second round which option should I choose on freetrainers?
I also do cardio 3-4 times a week. I run 2-3 miles. I am on a diet but I only lost 4 pounds in 8 weeks... is this normal?
thanks

Well, your profile states that your main goal is losing fat. If this is still your goal,if you have not acheived it from the first program you may want to opt to continue on with a fat loss program. In this case, higher reps is in order with heavy a weights as you can muster. Look to your diet for your optimal gains. Meaning, that no matter how hard you train, it is just the catalyst to begin the process you want. Your diet determines the amount you get out of this training. Without proper diet, kind of like going to work, working, but not gettin paid for it, or at best only half pay. Sluff on your diet, and you sluff on your progress.
-------------- As far as genetics go, the skies the limit. You are limited only by your mental perception of it.

thank you so much for your answer BB. I still want to lose the fat that is still in there. I can see that i lost some of it, but I guess i still have a few more months to lose it all.
actually I pay close attention to my diet. you answered my questions about after workout eating in one of my earlier posts. my fat intake is minimum. I don't eat any fried food or any junk food. I am from Turkey, so I mostly eat Mediterrenean food. which doesn't have too many bad ingredients anyway. my calorie intake is below 1750 (from fitday.com) to be honest with you I am a little discouraged, I am 5 days at the gym and still I feel like I am gaining weight. I don't fit in my clothes better or anything like that.
do you think I eat too little?

I have the same problem- I've been strict with my fat intake- my calories are usually at about 1800, and I try to keep the carbs and protein high ( a bit tricky being a vegetarian, but I'm getting used to all the shakes). I've noticed a few changes here and there- my arms are a bit bigger and my abs a little more defined- but my weight is EXACTLY the same as when I started and all my clothes fit the same too. I was wondering if I should be eating more calories and/or protein or if I should lower my carbs, or what?
