Include cardiovascular training in your workout if possible, also, supplement your diet with Omega 3's, such as Flax or Fish oil. Make sure you lower your saturated fat intake and increase fiberous carbs as well as quality protein. These are general recommendations, but this works well for most people.

Olive oil is reknowned in its ability to not only lower your LDL, but to change your cholesterol ratio, which is more important than the overall number.
-------------- The one goal you will NEVER achieve is the one you never attempt.

I did all of the "organic" methods, but to no avail. I've been on Lipitor for almost 2 years.

these foods help escort some of the cholesterol out of your body: oatmeal, beans, apples, pears, and other high fiber content foods, etc. basically the foods that either are high in fruit pectin or fiber. be careful and considerate of others though b/c these foods all give you gas. you can also cut down on some (not all) of your red meats which are higher in cholesterol anyway and replace them with protein bars. cholesterol is only found in animal products and by-products. my biggest problem was cutting down on cheese, milk, yogurt, butter and mayo (and krimpets). However there are some soy products that you can substitute. my personal favorite in Nayonaise (soy mayo) It's the best less fat, NO cholesterol sub i've ever had.
