I weight 130 lbs. and it is hard for me to gain weight. I usually eat 3 meals a day. I've heard of eating 5 or 6 small meals a day, but I heard that speeds up your metabolism. I work out, and I am surprisingly strong for my size, but as I get stronger I can't really notice big results in muscle size. Is it my meal plans?

Welcome wsmuller to the site. First off are you male/female. Fill out your profile and let us know a little more about yourself. There could be many reasons for the fast meabolic rate. Whats your age? Don't want to scare you but maybe have your thyroid checked? How often are your workouts etc.

you sound like me before I started to lift weights. I just ate nonstop morning and night. I supplemented on whey protein just when I started. If you want big results in muscle size, you gotta eat big.

3 meals will not get it. Eat in your case 6-7 meals per day, each high in quality protein and good complex carbs like beans(not pork and..LOL), brown rice, sweet potatoes, with lots of fibrous veggies. Mix 2-4 tbsp. heavy cream with your protein shakes for extra calories. This was a favorite of Zane and Scott. Good amount of calories, not to mention the taste. Even one of your shakes you can make an ice cream shake with your added protein to it.
