im currently in my third week of my 12 wk abs, i cant help but feeling like the routine is too easy. im doing all my reps slowly and controlled, but i always end up doing some other exercise to suffice. also i was always under the impression that its good to train abs every day, or at least more than two or three times a week.
any advice would be helpful.
thanks

If you are trying to gain abdominal muscle, i.e...size in your abs, then you have to treat them like any other muscle. You wouldn't work your arms every day, would you? They are a muscle like any other, if you hit them with heavy resistance, they need time to recouperate. The media I believe is partly responsible for this everyday myth, pushing their ab belts and ab blasters and ab rollers. They grab something that interests and run it into the ground. What they don't tell you is abs are 80% if not more diet. You really only need to do maybe 2 ab exercises, one for upper and one for lower and that is it. Diet will make them show. No matter how often you train them or how hard,if you do not change your diet, you will not see abs ever. In fact, your stomach can even look fatter due to the new muscle pushing out the fat even farther.
