Hi...sticking to plan over the past 5 months, I have gained good definition and feel that I will continue to do so. However...I have noticed that I am unable to lift weights as before. I am not able to bench the weight I did too...my weight hasn't changed ..any logical reason behind this?thank you.

what were your main objectives? Did you specify you wanted more mass and strength?
If you have been steadily increasing weights and following your workout plans, your problem could be due to eating habits e.g. not eating correctly and so not having the energy in a workout. That's one explanation i can give you. If you fill out your profile, it will be easier to say

No matter what you read about the "pros" gaining muscle while dieting, this is not true. Chances are you have cut carbs pretty much to gain your definition. Therein lies the sacrifice. Carbs are what gives you energy, gluclose production. Strength will diminish accordingly. With limited amounts of carbs, the workouts take a nosedive. One thing yo may do that I do, helps to keep glycpgen stores up somewhat, keeping your workouts from completely going down the tubes, and keeping your metabolism honest is twice per week, do a carb up meal before bed. This is if you are on a pretty ultra low carb diet, which I guess by your post is the case.

TTe only carb I have cut is the one I usually had for dinner(rice/pasta/sanwiches). I have replaced them with chicken/fish or ppro shake with veggies. I have also cut down on my orange juice intake and fruits(grapes/bananas). I am not too concerned about not being able to lift heavy.

Also...whenever I increase my cardio..I lose muscle. I still have little bit of fat in my lower abs. So I can't cut down on my cardio. What is the best way to get around it?thanks
