Im getting a membership at the local rec center and I just need some tips on what works fast cuz the sooner the better and a motivative talk would help too cuz i seriously lack that. Does my diet really matter a whole lot if im excersising everyday and how often should I exersise?????

Your diet counts for atleast 80% of your progress.
I would say blast each body part once a week (except for calves and abs, I usually get them in twice) Cardio for 30 min. 3-4 times a week at your target heart rate.

Motivation is a start, and it will become a habit! You seem pumped already, so thats great. Diet is important to fuel and lean out your body. Check out the nutrition area on the site. Good Luck!

Check out the diet area on here, it will give you some nutritional info as a guide. You may want to cut out white carbs, and especialy the chips. Way to much bad fat and bad carbs. Try to eat more whole grain products and veggies. Up your protien intake also. Protien is the basic and prime body builder. And don't forget, drink lots of H2o

You got 6 months? Why not go for heavy weights for 3-4 months, eat a ton of protein, slow carbs and good fat and then cut for 2-3 months, more cardio, moderate weights (more reps) and cut down your total carb and calorie intake....
Et voila!

A word of advice: once you get cut, that doesn't mean that you'll magically stay cut. You get cut then you've got to perpetuate your habits. Like the other posters said, you've got to start by working on what you eat.

Mack is right. But u can always rotate. Cut, Gain, Cut, Gain, Cut... eventually with sometime you'll become a pretty big muscular guy with good muscle definition! but u gotta be patient, results dont come overnight, think in the long run. im assuming ur still young as i am.
