Hey all!!!! I've been working on my abs for about a year or so now, but i just can't get defanition!!! I don't want to use any supliments or anything. I know i have um cuz when i dig deep I feel them ripples. I don't do much cardio and I think that's one of my problems. I also need to be more regimented in my eating habits. I don't know what to eat though? Should I go all out on a protein diet, or should I cut back on fatty foods or what!?!? I'm not a genious on dieting or anything, but I do wanna stay in shape and I'm whilling to do what it takes. IF any of you have a diet plan that will chop it off i'd be more then glad to hear what all of ya have to say........ Thanks a Ton!!!!!!!!!!!

Advice given to me one day was that everybody has amazingly ripped abs underneath the surface. All you would have to do, since you have been working on your abs for a year, is to lose some weight. Cardio or whatever, then you will see all of your hard work come to surface. Dieting is always a good idea, there is a diet out there for every specific need and want. So, some hard cardio and good eating habits will produce the results you desire!

A high protein fairly low carb diet will probably be best for what you want. Cardio 3-5 times per week depending on your current BF%. And of course don't stop the resistance training. Cardio will help burn more calories for your purpose. Calorie deficit as to calories in will result in weight loss, and plenty of good protein will insure for the most part it is fat loss and not lean tissue. Immediately post workout is probably best. Glycogen stores have been depleted, so with some smart supplementation, fat stores can be accessed.
