Hey Everyone, I am brand new to this board and it seems like everyone knows what they are talking about so, i decided to give it a shot. Since last January I have lost 45lbs of fat, but i am stuck with the roll on my lower abdomen. I wanna give a 6 meal-a-day plan a shot.My goal is to lose the fat and define my abs. Here is what i devised, please give me any feedback. Meal 1-2 egg whites, piece of fruit, and oatmeal
Meal 2- Tuna, bagged salad, and fat-free dressing
Meal 3- Cottage cheese, fruit, wheat toast with reduced fat PB
Meal 4- Salad and 4oz chicken
Meal 5- IsoPure Protein shake(60g protein)
Meal 6- 4oz of chicken, and a vegetable.
Thank you all in advance for you help! David

This sounds pretty good. How much protein, carb and fat does this come out to be?

Protein is going to be around 180, carbs are low at about 75, and fat around 50-60. these are very rough estimates though... what would you recommend i try and reach daily in each of those categories?

You are doing many things correctly, but some improvements could be in order. For example, 4 oz. of chicken is only about 18-22gr. of protein, and cottage cheese, even 1 cup is 28 gr. Then your isopure protein drink is 60 gr. That said, what is your current bodyweight? What is your current workout plan? And are you male or female? These type things would go a long ways toward helping you reach your goals. You are exactly right in thinking abs are a product of diet 80% and workout 20%. But you also don't want to diet to the point of sacrifcing lean tissue and get skinny just for the sake of abs. Please fill in some details, and we can help you a little more. Best of luck..

I am male, and my current weight is 204. I lift 5 days a week and do cardio 3 times a week prior to lifting. I want to gain lean mass as well so i have alot on my plate to sort out right now. I am thinking about starting creatine on Jan 1, but will that impede my progress towards the firmer stomach? thanks alot for your help thus far. ~David

I thought the chicken was kind of skimpy, Iwould double that for the protien, and double your eggs. Get rid of the fat free dressing and replace it with a good olive oil and sprinkle on herbs and seasonings for flavour. Instead of the light peanut butter, go for real peanut butter as there are no added sugars or fats. Thats trimming away unwanted calories right there, as we all know its the diet that make the abs visible. Good Luck
