I have a problem with my forearms, I have made pretty good gains with everything except forearms. I have 17 inch biceps and bamboo sticks for forearms. I know the basic exercises for them but nothing works. I would like to hear from someone who has had this problem and corrected it. Any comments are welcome. Thanks sean...........

Well I to have a large arm size 18.5. My forearms are just 14.5. They used to be around 13. What I did was stop using lifting straps except for the last set of my deadlifts and heavy shrugs. Also I do heavy bent over rows and assisted chins as well. Also I started to do heavy shoudler presses and heavier benching. ALl this I believe helped to grow them a little.
-------------- Those who lift understand it. Those who do not, think we are crazy!

I'm not sure if this works or not, but it's something that I've started. I've noticed that my upper arms were noticeably getting bigger but my forearms were taking much longer. What I started doing was instead of 8-10 reps for forearms, I've changed it to 20 on up reps. After doing this my forearms are absolutely on FIRE. The reason I do this is because your forearms are used to the heavy weight low rep scheme involved in all of your other exercises. I also started to strengthen my grip with one of those squeeze handles. Hope this helps.

I have noticed that since I dont use lifting straps all the time on lifts like deadlifts, pull ups, and shrugs, that more forearms have gotten bigger. don't rely on the straps to much.
I have also noticed that my grip is alot stronger also. I dont use gloves just bare hands. Lifting like this has caused my foreamrs and fingers to become alot stronger. My dribbling in basketball has become better because of this also.
