I was wondering if your supposed to add weight after each set you do like for the first set you do 50lbs then the next you add 60lbs etc.. Or can I just go with like 65lbs for the sets without adding more?

That depends on you and the number of repetitions. Don't use the same weight for 16 reps or 6 reps but take heavier so it gets harder.
