I'm trying to find some lower chest exercises that don't involve dips or a decline bench...any ideas?

The bench I have doesn't decline. Any ideas of something around the house that I could use? I do have a stretching ball...perhaps that? I'd love to do dips, but once again - what around the house could I use? I need some ideas please!!! Thanks!

How about inclined pushups? Use your bench, leave your feet on the ground and do as many as you can...

Thanks for the idea...those are much easier - but I guess if I do a ton of them it will get the job done, eh?

Any other ideas on how to do decline stuff with what's around the house? My bench is kinda old and strange, completely detached from the setup - I'm wondering if there's a way I can lift the butt part of it up...I'm sure there's a way that it can be done...it's a pretty good (really old - but good quality) set up. I'll fiddle with it after this weekend....

lower cable crossover or tomato can standing crossovers. Stand with the cans in each of your hands, with your arms at your sidesfully extended(like an upside down V). Bring arms slowly together in a upward sweeping motion until they cross just in front of your face, and concentrate on every muscle involved. Pretend you are pushing opposing poles of large magnets together. chirp chirp bye

Try sticking something underneath one end of your bench to get an incline or decline. It can be a little dangerous if you go to far, but 30 degrees should do the trick. Just make sure it's stable.

How about heavy bent arm pullovers? Pretty good alternative.

I don't know that it is. It is performed like this, lie sideways across a bench, your shoulder blades just off the bench, with head below the bench. Take a dumbbell and raise it holding it with both hands so your hands form a triangle. This is very important part, now bring the dumbbell down below your head with your arms held straight, you want that deep stretch in your chest. Then with your arms just as stiff, bring it back up just past your head, hold there, and go back with the full stretch again, repeat movement 8 to 10 times. A decent amount of weight is helpful for the final stretch. Good luck.
