I am following a Free Trainers program and am quite impressed with it. There are a number of different exercises that target most of the muscles. However, one day of the week yhere is 43 sets of exercises. This takes me well over 1 1/2hours. I think this is too long of a workout to be effective. I have heard and researched that you should go hard and at a high intensity but for not longer than 1 hour because the testosterone level dies and the workout is no longer effective. Any comments or differing opinions? Thanks
Well, I totally agree with you. You may think about splitting that workout up. I prefer a 45min. to 1 hr. workout max. For the reasons you say are correct, and just plain old intensity levels are hard to keep up for that length of time.
