I have been working out for years on and off. Now Ive started back again and I feel so thick. I have changed my eating habbits again and I can keep a strict diet. The thing is should I just do cardio for now to lose some fat ?????? I have no trouble gaining muscle mass,I just feel bulky now and I want to get leaner. Should I hold off on the weights for a bit????? What do you think. Thanks.

I'd do both. The more muscle you have, then the more fat you will burn even when not excercising. If you workouts are intense enough, then you won't even have to really do any cardio or just have to do light cardio after your workout.
I hardly ever do cardio anymore. I find that my workouts are intense enough to keep me at a good bodyfat level.
Now that's good for maintaining, but I'd throw in some light cardio right after your workouts just to burn off the fat. 10-15mins on a treadmill or stationary bike should be good enough. It will cut into your fat stores (since you're depleted already from your workout) and won't be excessive enough to make you loose any of the muscle you're working hard on getting.
Remember that everybody is different though and what works for me might not nessecerally work for everyone.

Dang is right. The more muscle mass you have, the more your fat burning furnace runs. Even at rest. Your cardio will really depend I think on how easily you drop fat. If your fat stores are pretty large, (a high bodyfat %), then cardio is probably in order. Once you get wherer you want, then keep your fat in check and you will not have this problem. Maybe resort to a 6-8 week gaining cycle, followed by a 2 week leaning cycle or as needed. Use the mirror. That way it never gets overwhelming.
