Was on vacation

I've been on vacation... here's my update on my training... 10 weeks 5 days left to competition. This posting is a combination of three days.

This is a copy and paste from another board I'm on....

First... spoke to Kim last Friday. He has bumped up my cardio from a 35 minute and a 30 minute session 5x a weeek (total 10 sessions) to 2 40 minute sessions 6x a week... ugh... and the lifting stayed pretty much the same except no more leg circuit days... so already I felt a little bit overwhelmed heading to vacation with this to tend too.. and I am a huge routine girl... I like my routine!! He lowered my calores to 1550 (was at 1650...) and no more fruit or dairy...!! Now, once a week I send weight and every other week I send pics, bodyfat and weight and we schedule a time to talk that Friday and go over things.

Headed to NC on Saturday w/ my lunch box prepared with all of my meals... my family ate and drank and I stuck 100% to my diet plan... CAN YOU SAY YEAH!! The only time I cheated was on a hike we went berry picking and w/o thinking stuck two rasberries in my mouth....

I did ALL of my cardio sessions... and did all of my lifting (some exercises I had to improvise though.... lack of machines)... and took all of my supplements.. Kim added new ones that I didn't have yet.. have them now though... Wednesday was rough for cardio, I was doing my second session and a couple of times I had to really hold on, felt faint... really faint.. and by Friday, my last cardio session, the only reason I got my arse in gear was because a man who must have been 65 was doing like a 6 minute mile on the treadmill and welllllll I couldn't be a schmuck.. so I got moving!!

At night I put my choc. mint protein shake in a wine glass so I felt like I was having a cheat.. and found the glory of GUM... YES GUM... too funny... and diet coke... not good... but a girl has got to have something!! I can't wait to get on the scale in the morning, if between my 12 cardio sessions, hiking, boating, running w/ the kids, I didn't lose 3 lbs on this trip, I will be amazed...

Drive home wasn't fun... storm all the way.. thank god my wonderful husband loves to drive cause he drove all 12 hours... I will post some pics once I get them done but I was in serious vacation mode and didn't once do hair or makeup... got some serious grooming to do before I step out into the real world again!! And on the way home... I had my lunchbox prepared w/ all my meals.. I had three chicken breasts today (ugh)...

Tonight when we got back from our long drive we ordered sushi... I had my crab rolled in cucumber, had some seaweed salad (not sure if that is on our list of veggies or not)... and had a bite of my husbands roll, looked so awesome, I couldn't pass it up... so that was my cheat for our vacation, a bite of sushi!!

Tomorrow is our 6th year wedding anniversary... yup we got married on July 4th.. he'll never forget our anniversary now will he , so we are going to take the peanut (megan) to a nice dinner at the Ocean Grille, where Steve will have his steak, I will have my fresh catch w/ steamed veggies and Megan will probably go for grilled cheese or something!! But first... I have to do my two cardio sessions in one shot cause the gym is only open from 8 - 12... big bummer...

Have a safe and happy fourth everyone!!

Yesterday...
m1: protein shake
25 minutes gauntlet, 15 minutes elliptical
m2: 5 egg whites, 1/4 c. oatmeal w/ splenda and cinnamon
m3: 1 can tuna, 1.5 rice cakes
m4: Ground turkey, 3 rice cakes
Shoulders, abs, 15 gauntlet, 25 minutes elliptical
m5: 1/4 c. oatmeal, 2 tsp flax seed oil (I chose to no longer have peanut butter, too much of a temptation)
m6: 3 oz. tuna, 1.5 rice cakes
m7: OH MY GOD.. THIS WAS SO AWESOME... 2 huge portabella grilled mushrooms, 4 oz. grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, little arugula..made a sandwich out of it. Absolutely delicious, and felt like I was having a greasy juicy burger w/ all the portabella juices running down my arms LOVE IT!!
m8: arctic cappucino protein.. yummy, I put in my favorite martini glass, makes me think I am enjoying a chocolate martini

Today
m1: arctic cappucino
m2: 5 egg whites, 1/4 c. oatmeal
30 minutes elliptical, 10 minutes treadmill, 11% incline, level 3.8 (have to work on getting more incline, hard at 6:00 AM though)
m3: 4 oz turkey, 1.5 rice cakes
m4: 4 oz chicken, 1/3 c. black beans, roasted red peppers

AND I must have been retaining fluid when I got back from trip... when I stepped on the scale yesterday morning I was down to 126 !! I kind of figured, with Kim adding 2 more sessions of cardio and decreasing calories, I HAD to have lost more than 1 lb... I'm starting to see the definition in my legs and I am seeing my face is getting thinner!!

Going to look into getting certified today... yippee!!
