Shoulders/biceps/triceps/abs

Well, yesterday I was one of those people I never believed, that actually gained strength while doing comp prep. I was on a high all day about that workout, the first thing I talked to my wife about when I got home last night was my "record" yesterday!

Well, today was back down to earth!! Not bad really, but very hard and I labored through it. Tough to have two good days in a row I guess. I started reloading creatine Sunday, and I didn't want to post that that was the reason for my big day yesterday till I was sure. Today made me believe it was placebo more than anything. So, I was correct in my post I believe that the mindset can just be an awesome aid.

Anyway, here is todays workout..Shoulders/bi's/tri's/abs

Shoulders
Side lateral raises(went really strict on these, at least they felt good!)
(warmup)...20x20
Sets....25x12,30x12,35x10,35x8

Seated Rear lateral raises
Sets.....45x15,45x15,45x15

Seated neutral dumbbell press with twist(a change here)
sets...50x10,60x5,60x4

Front EZ bar raises
Sets....35x10,45x10

Seated dumbbell shrugs
Sets....85x20,90x20


Biceps

One arm concentration curls
sets....35x10,35x10,40x7

Preacher curls close grip(haven't done these in a while)
Sets....95x6,95x6,105x5

Standing straight bar curls
Sets....95x6,105x5,115x3(here is where I really started running out of gas!!)


Triceps

Upper cable pressdowns(small straight bar)
Sets...130x10,150x12,165x8

Power rack extensions
Sets....95x5,95x5,100x3

Parallel bar dips with weight belt
Sets....85x7,85x7

Decline dumbbell extensions
Sets....40x6,40x6


Abs

Upper cable pressdowns
Sets....110x40,160x15,160x12,160x12,(immediate drop set)

Lying leg raises with 15 lb. dumbbell
3 sets of 8,7,7

Ran for my PWO shake today. Addded a tbsp. of malto to it again, and when I got home, I added 10 gr. glutamine, 1/2 tbsp. dextrose, and my creatine. As exhausted as I was, I figure there is no way it can hurt me(the added dextrose), and should help with recovery. I am actually ready for competition now, I could have competed last weekend if it was time. So, I am not very concerned about anything bad happening at this time with a bit of extra recovery aid.

Anyway, thankfully tomorrow is a day off. I doubt at this time I will be doing any cardio, but I will see in the morning. Right now my plan is simply posing, and then posing again when I get home from work. 6 more weight workouts to go!! Then one day rest, and depletion starts. Believe me, I am more than ready to get this done!
