Well, Mutt, maybe I'm being a little hard on myself, but I never thought that I'd be accused of overtraining. I pay close attention to other folks in the gym, and while I feel that I have nothing to be ashamed of, I do see some guys hittin' the iron really hard. I try to emulate those folks (and you guys on FT, too). But you make a good point. My joints have gotten progressively worse (as in "more sore"), I'm tired, my motivation is sh!t, and my lifts have decreased. Even though I've consciously lowered my weights dramatically to focus on perfecting my form, I just don't seem as strong as I was a few months ago. Sounds like the telltale signs of overtraining, Mutt, but it sure is dificult to just take time off! This is such a huge part of my life that I will definately miss it for a week or so. Probably for the best, though. Maybe I'll use the time to soak my dentures, watch Matlock, visit Atlantic City with AARP, or get that hip replacement I've been needin'... Thanks! TSMD

Are you sure taht you are taking time to rest enoguh? Sounds like a cae of overtraining. Maybe a good idea to rest over the weekend a mini break if you will! But then you ARE older maybe you need more than a day or too! (hee hee)
