D-Day..aka Day One

You know, with all the diets and exercise plans I have tried and failed at during my life, I have never attempted to write about it.  Will this be what turns everything around for me?

I'm excited to have found a website that will actually plan my exercise routines for me!  I have found (and paid for) plenty of sites that tell me what muscle groups to work on, but never have I found one that tells me which machines I can use and how many sets and reps to do.  I love how it almost feels personal, that someone is actually telling me, "You can use this machine or this machine, but you have to do one of them."  It's very motivating.

So, why all of a sudden have I become motivated to lose weight?  Kelsey Byers.  Who's that?  Oh, just a fitness model who used to be fat.  My friend on FB posts encouraging status updates for the normal everyday moms, and she came across an article about Kelsey.  As I read the article, my hubby walked in and asked what I was reading.  I told him about Kelsey.  He then asked, "So, are you thinking about becoming a model?"  Laughing back, "Yeah right! I'm too short and my boobs are too big!" (I'm 4'11") Jokingly he replies, "Why are you trying to crush my dreams of being married to a model?"  As we laughed about it, I began to actually think about it.  Why can't I be a model?  I'm not saying I want to be a Cindy Crawford, but I think I'm pretty enough to have pictures taken of me.  (I never had an issue with self-esteem regarding my looks.  It's just my body I can't stand!)  So, I started researching different sites about exercise and diet plans.  And I stumbled across this gem.

And now my journey begins.

I turn 34 on July 5th.  I would love to be 20lbs lighter by then.  A little over a month to do it....  I think I can.  :)

The hardest step is the first one. Stay motivated. Good luck.
