Sorry it took me so long to respond: "How often do heavy lifters need to break for in order to achieve optimum gains rev? Not that I do "heavy" lifting, I am just being curious. In your opinion, do BB's need the same breaks now and again? (I don't like to break - so I am hoping the answer is None!) LOL" Speaking from the perspective of a powerlifter, I generally take at least a week off every cycle, about 10 weeks. I think it's really a smart move for everyone who lifts, no matter what their goal may be, to take a week off every so often. As I'm sure you know, muscles grow during rest, not during the lifting. And, as with any machine, your body needs to get a break in order to make progress. Hope that helps, and good luck! Michael
