I was wondering if doing 5 mins of cardio, then some work on the machines and the 30 mins of cardio is as effective as other routines? Also when doing reps do you do three reps in a row with a slight break, or do you go through all the machines three times?

Ok 5 mins of cardio is a warm up for most people. Then do the weight trainng. If you can do cardio on days you do not lift weights. Do all reps for each machine before going onto another (example chest press do the total reps there before going on).

Well I can only go to the gym 4 times a week. What I have been doing is a 5 minute warm up of cardio, then go throught the few machines (it's a free YMCA small gym). Usually it's 3 leg machines (sorry don't know names) then like 4 arm machines and then I do crunches. Then I try to get 30 minutes of cardio in there. Is that effective or should I try something else? I am 200 pounds looking to lose weight and tone up, most of my weight is in my belly. Thanks for any and all advice
