right now i do shoulders and chest on the same day and i was wondering if i could do shoulders the day before chest would that take away from my chest workout the next day having my shoulders sore from the day before and also would my chest day affect my shoulders getting the rest they need?

Just curious why you are trying to separate them. What are your goals and what does your routine look like?

i do

chest/shoulders/tri's
biceps/back
off
legs
off
chest/shoulders/tri's
and so on

so i do everything every four days and i'd like to split up chest/shoulders/tri's day cause it takes me so long and by the end of the workout i dont think my shoulders are getting the workout they need cause im tired from chest and tri's workout. also i work out in the morning and do cardio in the evening so that wont conflict with switching anything around.

I personally separate shoulders and chest by a day as either one tires my tri's.

But it depends what works for you.

well tro I would try to elimate the tris from that and do more intense workout the chest and shoulders shouldnt take to long to do...what do you do for shoulders specifically? sounds just from general maybe you are doing toomany exercises? I say elimate tri's because they get a workout on most shest exercises like bench, i generally do some skullcrushers on my leg days that way i focus on them and dont do anythign else to wear them out
