I had a baby a month ago and I'm trying to get back to my pre-preg weight. I gained 30lbs with the pregnancy, and I've lost 22 of it. I want to get my abs back, but I don't believe that it takes a year to do it. I'm waiting until my 6 weeks checkup to go back to the gym, but lately I've been walking and doing pilates/yoga/dumbells Any suggestions as to how to retrain my abs and lose weight without it interfering with my milk production?

I breastfed my baby for 11 months and you will learn that the more calories you burn exercising, you produce that much less milk. It gets real watery and not enough nutrients are going into it. I am saying cut out your exercise, but if you want to have healthy breast milk, don't go balls to wall when you do work out. Take in more healthy calories for baby. Breastfeeding is the most rewarding experience there is and it is one that only YOU can share with your baby, so take care to do it right. Please understand I am by no means an expert on the subject and that is just my experience with my body..
