I have been doing the H.I.I.T. routine for about 5 weeks now, about 3-4 times a week. It consists of a warm up jog for about 5 minutes and then sprinting for one minute and SLOWWWWW jogging for one minute for a total of 10-11 times which gets me about 2 miles. Then I go another 5 minutes jogging for a cool down. For the past week or so, I have incorporated doing a 3 mile jog after the 2 miles (10-11 times) of doing H.I.I.T. for a total of 5 miles.
So, I can go about 3/4 of a lap in the minute of sprinting and towards the end it is tough. Now when the 5th sprint comes, and I am at about 50 seconds into the sprint, I feel like I am dying.
Is it ALWAYS going to be this hard or should I get better aerobically?
Don't get me wrong, I will continue with the routine regardless as I am VERY motivated to lose the layer of fat around my lower stomach and those DARN "Love Handles" which it seems I have always had, even as a kid. Oh how I HATE THOSE!!!

It should be difficult. The beauty of HIIT, is that it will always be HIGH INTENSITY. Intensity is a measure of percentage of maximal exertion. YOUR maximal exertion. So it should always be difficult.

I am hoping to have some way of seeing the results aerobically and I was afraid it was going to be tough all the time.
Thanks.

You will be able to sprint faster, and recover quicker. Your measure of intensity will go up.
