Today I did my Hack Squats and on the third series, I start to feel really week. I thought one more repetition and I will pass out. The load wasn't heavy but I start to feel in that way. When I worked with personal trainer I had similar cases and she told me this is because I didn't eat properly.
Today I ate oatmeal about 400 kcal 1.5 hrs before my training. Is that could made that effect? I stopped my exercises after that. I want to finish it tonight. Any suggestions? Thanks.

what else did you eat with your oatmeal? Doesn't sound like it was what you ate, there's a lot of good complex slow digesting carbs in your oatmeal or it could be be what the rest of your diet looks like, what do you eat during the course of the day?. One more thing I think might be from is a lack of rest, what is your training schedule like for the week and when was the last time you took a week off from the gym? Lots of questions I know but it will help us better determine the problem.

That was my morning training so I wake up at 5 AM and ate that oatmeal with regular milk, than I started training at 7 AM. I didn't eat anything else only there was a little "Honey Crunch'n Oats" in the oatmeal (no more than 10 g). That was my fifth week training with FT schedule. I finished last week on last Saturday and today I started with fifth. I didn't make any longer rest between 5 days week training. Meantime I worked sometimes more than 5 days a week but those extra hours were spent on swimming pool, where I swam sometimes every day at night after my morning training. I didn't keep any diet I just eat what I wanted and in that period (about 8 weeks) I didn't loose so many pounds. Thank you.

Perkowm,

In addition to taking a close look at your diet (to be sure you're getting the carbs you need... I am sure Justin will give great tips there) and sleep patterns, I would highly recommend that you check your blood pressure.

Even people who work out religously can have high blood pressure. I'd check it ASAP just to be sure that's not the issue.

FYI... your BP should be less than 140/80 (some say 120/60). Have it taken by a professional and NOT a machine.

Also, watch your breathing.

Good luck!!

How many hours of sleep are you getting? I work 5 days a week as well and also train 5 days a week, so I know that you can get run down pretty quickly and it will show its self in the gym. I had a very poor workout today could barely lift anything, just felt dead. And I had rough weekend where I didn't much sleep and today I was a slug in the gym. Your going to have good days and bad, just remember that. As for your diet oatmeal is an excellent source of compex carbs as I mentioned previsouly so that doesn't sound like it needs any tweaking. I would have 1 cup of old fashioned oatmeal(300 calories and 54g. of carbs) What exactly is "some" regular milk...1 cup..2 cups? You need to make sure your getting in some slow digesting protein as well maybe a protein shake and some egg whites or some chicken or turkey just as long as it's a lean protein source. Also make sure that the rest of your meals are balanced with some complex carbs, fibrous green veggies, lean protein sources and the right amount of EFA's. With all that and the proper amount of rest I don't see why you shouldn't be having any problems making progess in the gm. gl

1 cup of oatmeal is nothing....you need to eat protein....and healthy fats....to keep you satiated longer

like a whole wheat toast with natural peanut butter and 3-4 eggs with your oatmeal for example for a good breakfast....and drink a cup of tea...tea has been shown to suppress feelings of fatigue so that you can train longer....this meal is good for you because you have about 2 hours between when you wake up and eat and when you go work out....

Your pt should have have given a proper diet plan and good workout/eating advise. I agree with the advise you have been given so far but I would add that you should see a doc for precaution sake. If there is an underlying physical problem thats causing this problem you may not be so lucky next time I would not reckomend you carry on lifting untill you get it sussed out, especialy bench press, squats, shoulder press or anything that the weights can fall on you if you do keel over.

Thanks for advices. Looks like I have problem only with Squats, all other muscles group are just fine. Today I thought about rest, but I continued training and felt just fine. I ate oatmeal with raisins and cherries. Today I finished my last series of Hack Squats from yesterday, but nothing happened. Than I rowed hard for 10 min and everything was OK. I think I need more food for breakfast as menace3000 suggested. I ordered Protein supplement and I will add it to my breakfast. If anybody has some suggestions for meals, I would appreciate. Thanks again for your help.
