What Weights To Choose

I am a new member. I chose a workout in the Gym Section with weight loss as my goal. I received the workout but am confused about whether I am to lift as heavy as I can. Also I have sets for certain reps decrease for each set. Am I to increase/decrease the weight as the reps go down or keep the same weight. The workout gives no info on amount of to lift based on my goals.

Please help me get on the right track
