what if you have arthritis?

Hi everybody, I'm a relatively new member; I've been working out for a couple of months now and I've lost about 10 pounds. I've been trying to do my exercises regularly but I have a form of arthritis that has been flaring up recently, especially in my knees and neck. I can't do the deep knee bends in my exercise routine because my doctor won't let me. Same with the calf raises: whenever I do them I notice that my foot gets swollen and sore after (same culprit: arthritis!). Does anyone have any suggestions for alternative exercises? My doctor has given me the go-ahead to stick to my exercises as long as they don't aggravate my condition. Thanks for any and all help
