what going on with me?

saragirl Posts: 7 Joined: 2006/04/20	2006/04/20, 12:39 PM my parents are fairly tall, mom is 5'9, dad is 6'1, yet i'm short, i'm 5'3, while all siblins range between 5'8 - 6'3. i didn't grow since i was 9 years old, now i'm 18. i never talked to any doctor about this. can you guys help me out, what should i do? is it to late? somebody, anybody please help out with this.thanks

Maybe your the "runt"....no offense intended. IN Michael Jordan's family no one is taller than 6'1.....yet he grew to 6'6? but then again dennis rodman graduated highschool at 6', in college he grew 9ins? height is a weird thing. Its based on the WHOLE family tree.... Look at animals...bears, lions...theres always a "runt" of the family. Which can be good or bad? Sorry to say at 18 your growth plats have prolly already sealed....so not much you can do honestly. -------------- Get your bicep curling, cut off shirt, matching workout outfit wearing,flexing in mirror "toned" wanna-be ass , out of my squat rack! Mojo_67 Posts: 1,299 Joined: 2003/09/23	2006/04/21, 12:24 AM Don't worry about it so much. There's nothing wrong with being 5'3". Be happy with the way you are. Some things you just cannot change. I personally like shorter girls, not to say I don't like all girls, because I do. So don't get me wrong, I'm not the superficial type. I don't want to start getting hate mail from tall girls. But I do tend to like shorter girls the most, just my personal preferance, everyone's different. And I've been with all. So just relax, and make the best out of what you've been given. Whatever you do, don't let it be your downfall. That would just be a shame. Try and remember, finding someone who is happy with you is the easy part, being happy with yourself is sometimes the hardest. But when you learn how to, it makes everything else easier. After I graduated in 89 I grew to 6 foot 1. As did my father and one of my brothers. So there is some genetic proof it can happen but not always -------------- Less Talk, More Chalk! Guys including myself have a tendacy to answer questions there as well. Bottom line is, we're all just trying to help, when we think we can, we do. kdubbu04 Posts: 25 Joined: 2005/12/08	2006/05/11, 10:33 AM i have a couple uncles who were 5,6 and 5,8 when they graduated highschool. One is 6,3 now the other is 6,4. Im 5,9 and i just turned 20. I've been rooting for that second growth , but i've come to realize its not going to happen. However your only 18 so it could still happen if you have any history of it. But i believe its alot more common is males than in females for the 2nd growth.

saragirl Posts: 7 Joined: 2006/04/20	2006/05/14, 01:35 AM it kind of true, the only thing that got me determined was my 22 year cousine who stoped growing when she was about 12. she was 4'10, until 4 years ago, when she all suddenlly started growing, and guess how tall she is?, 5'4. so i was just wondering. what do you think?
