OK, I'm really getting tired of being yellow! My hands are yellow throughout the day, sometimes brighter or duller. I don't know why this is. and now my nails are starting to turn white. What do these symptoms tell you about what's wrong? My feet are just the same color as my hands, and my mom says that my face is starting to get a little yellow. I don't know what's going on, I've tried the blood tests and everything. Nothing comes up! It's depressing. Should I go to another doctor and have the blood test taken again? I took 3 with my last doctor, and nothing showed up. Why would the doctor need to take 3 to find out if anything's wrong? Couldn't you do it with just one? Does this doctor just want my insurance? Please, any suggestions on what I should do will be greatly apreciated.

what you're describing is generally symptomatic of liver problems. as far as having three blood tests done, different blood tests detect different things. when i had hepatitis i had blood drawn on 4 seperate occastions before they figured out what was wrong for certain. if you're doc doesn't figure it out soon, i would suggest seeking a second opinion. your health isn't something you want to play around with.

I would see another Doctor just my opinion, sounds like it could be liver problems, but I'm no doc but it couldn't hurt to get a second opinion.

Ditto to above. The only other thing I can think of would be excessive betacarotene which could make you yellow/orange. See your doc.

OK I went to another doctor and he's going to do an ultra sound on me because he thinks that the blood tests are fine and that's what 3 doctors already said, but if that's true, then why am I still yellow? Could it be because I just simply need some sunlight on me? Could this just be my natural color? I used to be in the sunlight for long periods of time due to band and exercise outside and stuff, but now that marching season is over, and I joined a gym, I'm never in the sun anymore.

DX yellow is not your natural colour. It sounds like your jaundiced. Tell your doctor your not happy and you want to know what's causing the change in your skin colour. All the best.

I've already told the doctor that, and I'm sure he knew that even before I told him, because then I wouldn't be seeing him then. Thanks for the wishes. I hope that this will change.
