Is it possible for someone who exercises 6 days a week for about a hour and a half to lose 10 lbs in 3 weeks? Can someone suggest what I can do to lose 10 lbs in 3 weeks if what I said is impossible?

Well, 10 pounds in 3 weeks is a lot. It can be not, but may not be very healthy. You shouldn't lose more than 2 pounds per week. It also depends on your current weight status. Obviously the more fat you have the faster it will burn. Try and aim for 6 pounds in the next three weeks. Watch your diet. Hope this helps.

are you aiming to lose that weight before school starts?? with lots of cardio in your exercise routine, at 6 days a week for an hour.. you should see some nice results within 3 weeks.

You can exercise 7 days a week, 24 hours a day...but if you don't change your diet, you won't see any results. It starts there...

i'm 144lbs and 5'3 without shoes. And yes I am trying to lose weight before school starts. My weight goes up and down depending on what I'm doing and how much I eat like I don't eat alot but when I do eat I eat in abundance. So will it be possible for a 5'3 144lb girl to lose 10lbs in two weeks.

Hi khica, are you using ft programs & nutrition, and as Lisa mentioned 10lbs in 2 weeks is a lot. what are you doing and how are you eating. Dont forget you cant correct what took years to do in a matter of weeks and do it safely.

Khica, why do you need to be 120 lbs. to be on the wrestling team?
I don't think 10 lbs in 2 weeks is very possible. When I was your age I actually weighed about the same thing you do, I was able to get down to 120 lbs., but it was over time. I used to weight train in the morning for about a half hour and run for a half hour, and I tried to follow a pretty sensible diet (instead of a quarter pounder, I'd get a cheeseburger, etc.).

I don't know about losing 10 pounds in 2 weeks, but losing 10 pounds in 6 weeks is possible. But don't eat less, eat 3 meals a day, have a light dinner, and don't eat after 8. Also watch what you eat a little, try and have fast food only once a week and don't get depressed and give up if you don't see results right away. give it a chance. Also try doing some jogging or some type of cardio. Or even better go out for a sports team. By doing that you do cardio and have fun at the same time. Whatever you do DON'T GIVE UP. Good luck!

I don't need to be 120 to be on the wrestling team but I want to wrestle at the 120 level. Thanks for all the input you guys have given me. Also is it average to be this big considering my height?

With your height, 144 is kinda high. For my height 5'5" my ideal weight is 132-138. SO for you height I would guess that it would be about 125 somewhere in that area.

What Lisa said is true, but whatever weight you are at, never stop feeling good about yourself; I find that when I get down on myself about something like weight I tend to focus on the problem and not the solution (staying active).

And remember, you gotta start somewhere. I am training a girl right know that is 160 and about my height. She feels intimidated because I can lift more than her, but I have to remind her that I started off in the same place she did (actually she has less weight to lose and she lifts more than I did when I first started out). I have to keep telling her that it will come, you just gotta be patient. Good luck and if you want it, you can get it.

my name is erika and i would liek to know how i could begin to loose like 2-4 pounds a week cuz i need to. I am not really that fat lookin but my arms are so chubby. if anyone could give me some tips on that i will be very greatful

Yes it is possible. I lost 10 lbs in 6 days. But diet is the absolute key. You have to drink plenty of liquids so you aren't losing water weight. I only ate salads for those six days, but i ate huge ones with crutons and veggies, no dressing of course. Don't starve yourself! Exercise everyday and make sure you are getting all of your vitamins. You can lose it, and keep it off after that if you don't allow yourself to have a huge splurge afterwards.

If you do the atkins diet, u can lose 10-15 lbs in 2 weeks. Do you want to do that? NO. Its not safe. Its all water anyways. Fat dont come off the body that quickly. Be careful. People always think short term and thats just not a good way to think about things.

I'm a 23 year old female weighing 192 lbs. Is it possible to lose 50-60 lbs by November (in 5 months)by power walking for one hour? What can i do to lose weight in the right way??

Jasmine,

Start by cutting junk foods out of your diet and eating more fdresh vegetables and lean protein. if you want a very specific fat loss plan, look up the WSSC challenge thread in fit buddy. n that thread I lay out a fat loss diet that isn't too restrictive and people got good results using it.

Begin a consistent exercise program, sign up for one here and get started today! this will help you have more energy and lose inches while building some strength.

Good luck. Be consistent and push through those times when you question why you are doing all this and in the end you will have the physique you desire.

I am 175lbs and 5'2 I have not always been this weight Iv always been in the 120-130 I need to loose 30lbs b4 april. will that b possible? I need help idk what to do is cardio good? Help please
