Well I'm fat, but I'm gonna change that. There are a couple of factors that has kept me from successfully losing weight. I had no support. First, I didn't really have any friends and my parents really just didn't do anything to help me. Second, I didn't know what to do. I needed someone or something to tell me what to do, how much to do, and for how long to do it for. And finally I just love food.
I still don't really have any support, except from myself, thank goodness I'm the type of person where that is enough, but I'm glad that it seems that everyone here supports each other. I know what to do now that I found this site, which is the major factor that I'm gonna start losing weight. I still love food, but I'm gonna learn to portion and eat more healthier.

Well that's me if anyone has any tips, help, or anything really they wanna tell, I'll be grateful to hear it.

Thanks that really means a lot. I know that if I have a lot of people behind me telling me to keep going towards my goals and plans that I will succeed. I can't wait to get started. There's only one problem with getting started; I've come into the habit of laziness. Any advice to stop laziness. It's just hard for me to stop cause laziness is comfortable and at the same time annoying, but the only thing I pay attention to is the comfort.

think about your goals when the laziness sets in.. think about achieving that body that you've always dreamed of. think about how much better you will feel after a good workout. thats what i try to do.. and i feel rejuvenated and ready to go after that

Well I've been trying that, but I think I've become to lazy. I just keep thinking as exercise as boring, which is pretty stupid cause I always find myself sitting on my butt, doing nothing, and saying I'm bored. I think another problems might be I just donj't have the energy level and I know that you start little and your energy builds up each time so you can do more and go longer, but it's just so hard to start. I am really exceited about losing weight, but then when I say it's time to exercise I just can't seem to get started. Eh I have so many problems.

i had the same problems...i would be way too lazy to start working out, but what u need is motivation. look at ureself and think to ureself "if u can just get myself doing some excercise i will look a million times better" Just push ureself to go and after a few workouts it'll just be habit and u'll be getting up to excercice before u even know it.

50,000 friends - Don't we all? That's a GREAT sign-up bonus with FT!

rani_leto: Don't give up! Laziness is not a disability, it's a bad habit. And bad habits can be beaten!

Find something you really enjoy. Go for a walk and find a hobby. Ever tried bird-watching? You can go bird watching anywhere in the world, country and cities alike. Bird watching was a great fitness distraction for my aunt - she walked off 30 pounds in about 5 months!

The only other thing I want to say is: look for your key motivation within yourself, and look to US for support! You signed on with this site so that's step #1. So, congratulations on that step!

Everyone at FT will support you 110% percent. A lot of people on here are very open to privte messages as well. You have to believe in yourself first. Come on - we already believe in you or we wouldn't be writing to you!

Just remember to be patient with yourself. You have to start small. Set small goals that are attainable.
(Goal #1: sign up with FT. Check!)
Don't start off with your life-long dream as your goal. That will only frustrate you. Start easy with something like: this week I will go for a 10 minute walk 3 times. Then when you've done that give yourself a BIG pat on the back. Then set your next goal: increase the time, or increase the frequency, or lose 2 pounds, etc.
We are all here to see you succeed. Ask questions when you have them and keep us posted on your successes!

Erika.
