I've been stuck around 195 for 2 months now and its not that i havent been lifting, its just become repetative and my gains have pretty much just stopped in bench. I have been taking a lot more protein (around 4 servings of shake a day) to try to gain weight and get over plateau. I know I'm supposed to change my routine around but being in weightlifting kind of prevents that. My coach has a workout based on your max and you do certian reps of percents of your max, I moved up today to a heavier workout because the people who i work out with are slightly stronger than me but its still the same basic workout. Is there a way to get around this?

Eat more real food.....not shakes.....save a shake for after workouts......and maybe before bed.....THATS IT.

Only thing I could say would be ask your coach if you can have a few days off.....or lighten up for a few days give your body some rest. IF not,

Concentrate on somthing else, your power clean, squat dl somthing else....yes we all want a monster bench press. However other things come into play too.

For example.....your back, tris, and front delts.....play big role in benching.....more so than one thinks.

Theres a saying on here....."back up" your bench. You sould be able to row 2/3 to equal to what you can bench....if not... theres a weakness.

Try doing some floore press etc.

How long have you been "stuck" school just started?

Well school just started but i've been working out for football since school ended. I did a variety of different excercised for different muscles but my bench stayed the same (squat shot up cause it pretty sad to begin with). I dont nessesarily want a big bench its just a benchmark for me. I clean and jerk, squat, and deadlift 2 days a week and that works on my back a little.

Oh I forgot to add that I eat 3 pretty good sized meals a day, i'm just an extremely hard gainer so i've been eating everything that gets within 20 feet of me (rest in peace fluffy).
