Hi, I'm a returning member who has Multiple Sclerosis. I hadn't been here in a while because of some side effects from meds. However, I'm back. Before I left, my question was going to be how do I become proportionate. In other words, my upper body doesn't go with my lower body. I have no fat on my abodomen (although not a six pack) and my arms aren't that bad (but I'd like to avoid "the way of fat"). Then I have everything below my waiste which is horribly out of shape from loosing muscle (I was in intense pain and couldn't walk for a month because my muscles atrophied and almost turned to mush). Aqua therapy helped get rid of the pain and I'm now able to walk with an ankle brace (don't need to use it all the time). I bought a stair stepper and I got this ingenious idea to take one of my free weights which I tied a rope on to the weight and the other end onto a sturdy chair so I could do leg lifts with the weight on the other end. I heard that stair steppers make your butt bigger which I don't need, lol. I would like it firmer along with my thighs and to loose the fat. I know you have to do a total work out to get these results, but I think I need more lower body work out along with what I'm doing. Any advice.

Believe me, it is EXTREMELY hard for anyone with MS who has that disease relate fatigue. That alone can litterally disable and confine you. I describe it this way. If my house was on fire, I wouldn't be able to get up and get out. But the more you move around, the more you energy you will have.
