Trouble gaining weight and size, help!?!

I have been working out for about a year now. When I started I weighed 140 lbs. In no time I went up to 160 lbs but for the past six months have been in a limbo between 150-160 lbs. My strength has increased quite a bit but I still have yet to see any real changes in weight and size. What should I do? What am I doing wrong?

Your not eating enough. How many meals per day are you eating? Do you know your daily calorie intake? Slowly add calories.

Your strength is a result of your neuromuscular system adapting to the resistance training. Your weight gain (or lack thereof) comes from caloric intake. Sounds like your doing OK in the gym, but your diet - the most important aspect of reaching your goals - is off. Eat more. And then when you're finished eating, get ready to eat again. Gaining weight has more to do with lifting your fork, not the weights.

ok yeah the food definatly is a major aspect of gaining weight but that is the answer that is given out every time this question is asked on every forum i have been to. point is you weigh around 160 about the same as me ok then form what i have read gaining weight will take about 3300 calories to average about a pound a week. your body naturally burns about 1900 cals a day that said add in the average guy you know 1-2 hour workout a night + your average day assuming your in school that goes up to about 2900 cals 2500 cals in a pound of muscle 7 days week+2100 almost a pound focus on getting most from carbs then protein then fat. theres a calculator at bb.com thats where these numbers came from. as for the other part do not neglect the deadlift if your looking for size dont neglect it. what i do is my major exercise then the isolation exercises which ive been told arent really necessary but i do them anyway in my opinion they really help add mass. ive added 45 lbs over the past year i had a dry spell recently but the gains are coming again. dont worry i know exactly where your coming from ive been there. get the big 3 in order eat sleep nurtition and you have no choice but to grow. just dont overdo the isolation 2-3 sets is fine dont want to overtrain. anything you guys dont agree with here correct me this is just my opinion.

math is wrong 3300-2900 400 lol 2800 cals more than a lb
