I'm over 55 years old and power lift for years. Seven weeks ago torn my upper bicep (long) tendon curling 135 on preacher. I have the popeye muscle the whole 9 yards. I waited 2 weeks after the injury to start lifting again and discovered my right arm is weak and smaller than my left arm. Because of my age group I'm opting out of surgery. I know i have to live with the popeye and slight weakness but how long do I have to wait until I've fully recover? I'm taking it nice and slow trying to rehab the right arm but it's still somewhat sore especially at the right shoulder. I use a combination of heat and ice to ease the soreness and tightness in the shoulder and arm. Can anyone tell me will my arm will fully recover?
