Hi, I'm new to this site and I'm really excited about it - it looks really good. In high school I was a swimmer, but in my last season I had some rotator cuff problems that kept me from being able to do much. I also ran track in high school and in college spent most of my exercising as running. Then I started to get some knee pain - I've been told this is usually due to weak quads. Now that I'm in graduate school I've continued to run and in the nasty Minnesota winters I've decided to get back into swimming. Does anyone have any advice as to what type of exercises to do to strengthen shoulders and/or quads? Thanks!

Why not do one of the exercise programs on this site? It will include strength work for quads and shoulders.

I think shoulder problems often go with the territory for swimmers, it might be worthwhile seeing a physio if your problems come back.

good luck and welcome to FT :)
