A bit of background info:

I started with FreeTrainers last summer, needing to get back in shape and loose some of the weight I gained in college. From May to October, I was really strict in my diet and workout and dropped about 20 pounds of fat while gaining muscle and getting healthy. I repeated the 8-week program several times.

In October, due to various reasons that I won’t get into now, I got way off track. I was still getting to the gym several times a week, but wasn’t doing a normal routine. Although I still watched my diet, I wasn’t as strict as I was. Luckily I only put on a couple pounds, but was feeling gross about myself—inside and out.

Anyways, I finally got back into a regular routine seven weeks ago. Next week will complete the 8-week program. While I really haven’t dropped any weight (need to lose about 10 lbs), I’m getting back in shape, feel better, and have knocked off the rust of not regularly lifting/working out regularly in four months. Getting to the gym after work has once again become part of my daily routine—it’s no longer a chore.

So, my question is, after I complete the program next week, how do I reboot myself? I’ve knocked off the rust, got my body used to working out again, but need to take the next step to really start seeing results. I know I need to tighten down on my diet, and that I can do on my own. But I need to freshen up my workout, while staying close to the 8-week program that’s become ingrained in my workout-DNA.

Thanks for the advice!
