HI, I'M A TENNIS PLAYER WHO PLAYS TENNIS ALMOST EVERYDAY FOR ABOUT 1 HOUR. I AM 6'1 230 LBS AND AM SLIGHTLY BUILT BUT WITH A LOT OF EXTRA FAT I WOULD LIKE TO LOSE. WHAT WOULD BE A GREAT WORKOUT ROUTINE FOR ME IF I PLAN ON LOSING FAT AND KEEPING A TONE LOOK? JUST TO THROW IN THE TYPES OF WORKOUTS I PLAN ON DOING AND CURRENTLY DO IS RUNNING FOR 30 MINUTES AND SWIMMING ON NON-LIFTING DAYS 3 TIMES A WEEK; LIFTING ON NON-CARDIO DAYS 3 TIMES A WEEK AND SWIMMING.

ALSO, SINCE I'M A VERY GOOD TENNIS PLAYER AND PLAY WITH GOOD PEOPLE I TEND TO HAVE A GOOD MODERATE HEART RATE WHEN PLAYING - WOULD THIS HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE WHOLE CARDIO AND LIFTING ROUTINE OR THE ORDER OF BOTH ON SAME DAYS I LIFT?

ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREAT!

I have played competitive tennis for almost 30 years. One hour of inntense singles will burn close to 1000 calories, while running for 30 min will burn 3 or 4 hundred depending upon your pace. Weightlifting for an hour is in between the two.

Seems that you get plenty of cardio with the tennis. Long distance running is good for endurance but not for wind. Don't do too much as it can slow you down on the court. Swimming is also not great training for an explosive sport like tennis, although it will help with flexibility and is non impact. Sport specific weightlifting is always beneficial.

Seems to me with all the calories you currently burn the answer for you could be in your diet. There is lots of info here on that topic. Focus on a calorie deficit each day and you will lose weight.
