Most the the "hype" or "sayings" I herd, was about kids like 10-13 yrs of age, that if you work out it can cause the stunting of growth. Now i my self have been working out since my freshman year in highschool( since 15) and I grew. However I believe, and from what I herd its ok at any age to increase muscle mass, and cardio health. But at 17 your ok .
